This is an estimate of how much time you will need.
These are examples of how much time this will take by type of things I shoot. I want you to have everything you want in your senior session so you can plan accordingly.
Half Hour
- Most outfits and small props: This like normal everyday outfits and include things like bows rifles some dance outfits are pretty quick. 95% of the things parents end up wanting are this type of outfit. Nice smiling and a couple serious face portraits that they can use for their wall or announcements.
-
1 Hour
- Car Truck Motorcycle: It may be quicker than one hour but it depends on the type of vehicle. Where we are shooting and the time of day.
- Tennis: Interesting posed images but not action shots. Has to be shot a certain time of day.
- Inside any locker room: This is above any time we may spend on the outside portion at a athletic field complex. YOU as the customer must go in the day before and clean things up. Locker rooms are notorious for being filthy. They have dirty stinky clothes everywhere and they spit all over the floor. I won't be cleaning or photoshopping the locker room clean. Make sure you talk to me before doing this. I'll help you do the least amount of work in there to get the results you desire. Make sure you get keys well in advance. The coaches will forget or may leave town or won't be available if you wait till the day of the shoot. This happens a lot and something as simple as it seems in not always simple.
1.5 Hours
-
Baseball, Football, Soccer, Track: Images on location at a athletic field. These will be amazing posed images but not "action" photos. We will need lights on at the field so make sure you have access to lights and the scoreboard if you want to scoreboard lit up.
-
Action photos are images that will require jumping, sliding, diving, catching, running. We would need more time to do this type of images. See below.
2 Hours
- Baseball, Football, Soccer, Track: Images on location at a athletic field but will include a few action images and beautiful posed portraits.
- Sunflower Field: We can only shoot at the sunflower field when it is open. People pay to pick sunflowers while they are there so as the season progresses, there are less and less sunflowers. They are only open for photography a couple days a week. We have to plan around the the position of the sun. You may call the lady who owns it and pay her extra to come on a different day or time. It's not my property so we have to follow her rules. She's been nothing but nice and accommodating. I will 100% need to know you want this option as I will need to talk to the sunflower owner. She charges a fee. I don't keep up with her pricing. I think you pay that day.
3 PLUS HOURS
- River Images: Takes 40 minutes each way to get there and back. I like shooting at Arden. There are less people there and it's not a State Park. I will shoot at Valley Falls and Audra State Park, but I will not be removing all the people in the background of your portraits if we do go there and its busy. You can NOT get into the water at Valley Falls. You can not be on the railroad tracks at Valley Falls. I won't do those images at Valley Falls. They will ticket you for that or take you to Taylor County jail. They have warned me.
- Water Boarding or Skiing: Talk to me about this. It takes a while to do it all.
